What Is It?
Sculptra is an injectable derma filler that is used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles by adding more volume. Instead of pumping the area with fillers, Sculptra stimulates collagen production, allowing the face to naturally renew itself over time.
Sculptra is commonly used to treat wrinkles around the chin, smile lines, and marionette lines. Results may last up to two years or more.

Why Is Collagen Important?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body and is the primary building block of your body's skin, muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissue.
Collagen forms a scaffold that provides strength and structure within the skin. As we age our bodies produce less collagen, and the collagen that is produced breaks down faster and is lower in quality. This may lead to changes in the skin, wrinkles, sagging, joint pain, stiff tendons, and muscle weakness.
Sculptra stimulates collagen production by triggering an inflammatory response in the body. This response is caused by the injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). PLLA supports the growth of new collagen fibers and is eventually absorbed by the body, leaving behind new collagen.
